Tortillas

My    Aunt Gertrude who lives near Winkleman,AZ sometimes makes tortillas,my late Uncle Edwin use to call them blow out patches. They are a lot of work and yes much easier to buy some at the local grocery store but for those who love that homemade flavor they can't be beat. The following Link http://www.nativeseeds.org/community/208-recipe-for-fresh-corn-tortillas   gives one method of making your own. The growing of native seeds is something my wife is going to try, our biggest problem has been the local fauna raiding the garden. That my friends is a story unto itself. If you try to make these tortillas  you will find them great tasting an have respect for the pioneers an natives who grew an make their own food.
